ESL for GED integrates ESL proficiency development and instruction of the subject areas required to pass the GED (General Educational Development) examination.
Students who pass the GED on Maui may receive both a GED Certificate as well as a High School Diploma issued by the Maui Community School for Adults.
ESL for GED, a form of Content-Based Instruction (CBI), allows students to begin preparing for the GED test even if their English skills are limited when they begin.
